'MISES EN SEIZE' (1)
BY ABIR FAWAZ

Her work is extensively highlighted in the specialist publication Louis Vuitton Architecture and Interiors, in particular the store opened by the celebrated luxury retailer in Saint-Tropez. Abir Fawaz was responsible for the interior design as part of the company's in-house Architecture Department. From 2007 to 2016 she had a number of roles and responsibilities within the teams working on the design and implementation of Louis Vuitton stores in Asia, Russia and India, and concessions within the department stores Harrods in London and Le Bon Marché in Paris.

Born and raised in Senegal, Abir Fawaz chose to study architecture in Paris – earning her architecture degree (DPLG) with distinction from the elite ENSA (2) Paris-Malaquais, in 2002. With her Lebanese roots and holidays spent in France, languages came easily to her; quietly cosmopolitan, she is happy working all over the world. Doha, Hong-Kong, Los Angeles, Beijing, Bahrain, New Delhi, Bangalore and Paris, of course, where her career began. She spent a fruitful time at the agency Wilmotte & Associés, project managing a number of prestigious museum projects and taking evening classes in art history at the Louvre.

Now at the helm of her own agency, STUDIO SEIZE, founded in Paris in 2016, Abir Fawaz has successfully attracted and retained a number of high-end business clients such as Berluti, Boucheron, Moët Hennessy, Celine and RIMOWA. At the same time, she has moved into a new, private and exclusive area: working with an exacting clientele to design and deliver interiors for apartments and houses. These projects benefit from the same focus and attention to detail so appreciated by her luxury retail clients. Carefully sourced materials. Specially commissioned bespoke furnishings. Sophisticated designer lighting. Research, advice and style: a savoir-faire, an eye - cultured and elegant, the Abir Fawaz signature denotes interiors at once contemporary and subtly timeless.
